Interestnaut is a personal recommendation app. We believe your taste data belongs to you. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it.
If you use Interestnaut without an account, nothing is stored on our servers — all preferences are kept locally on your device. If you create an account, we store your email address, a hashed password, and your in-app activity: reactions (likes, dislikes, favorites, watchlist, skips) and the media metadata associated with them. This lets your library sync across devices and powers your recommendations. If you use the Taste Profile feature, a short AI-generated summary of your preferences is stored in your account.
We do not collect analytics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, location data, or device fingerprints.
Your reactions and preferences are used to generate and refine your recommendations.
Your account and all associated data are retained for as long as your account exists. To request deletion, email us at the address below.
Interestnaut is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and notify registered users by email.
